Recently, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez streamed Among Us with fellow US Representative Ilhan Omar, Pokimane, Myth, DrLupo, and several other top streamers. Since its sudden boost in visibility on both YouTube and Twitch, a number of content creators have begun showcasing the game on their channels.
The game launched nearly two years ago, but it apparently took a COVID-19 pandemic and gamers with lots of free time on their hands for the potential chaos and fun of Innersloth’s creation to really garner attention. There’s no question that Among Us, the multiplayer game about teamwork and betrayal on a spaceship, has received a sudden surge in popularity over the past few months.
